Audio Questions
Most of the courses and lectures presented on this site—some dating back to the early 1970s—were not professionally recorded or restored. As a result, while listening to these recordings, you may notice sonic artifacts such as any of the following:
- Tape hiss
- Room noise caused by microphone placement
- High pitches generated by the recording equipment
- Distortion from incorrect microphone levels
- Shifts in volume and timbre
- Fluctuations in speed
- Spliced and overdubbed audio
- Missing audio
- Reverse tape sounds
- Digital artifacts from previous audio conversions
However, the vast majority of the audio is completely understandable and for most listeners Dr. Peikoff’s content and presentation should shine through any imperfections.
